Who we are.

We're youth workers like you that have gotten together to organize and promote a yearly event that strives to bring the best in training, renewal and networking to those working in youth ministry. Our logo is a compass because we are here to help provide direction for you and your ministry to & with young people. Of course that direction always points towards God.

 

Some of the goals of The Gathering in the East can be summed up at left. 

To create a NETWORK of youth ministry volunteers and professionals that can be a resource to one another. 

To provide the best possible current and relevant  EDUCATION events.

To SUPPORT those in youth ministry with great training events & current resources whether volunteer or paid, from small congregations or large, whether they be brand new to youth ministry or established veterans.

WORSHIP is a core component of GIE from large group corporate services to small group Bible studies to other experiential ways of setting our focus on Christ.
